The mighty Crock Pot

Cooking can sometimes get rather dull and you need a break. Blow the dust off that crock pot and add some ingredients and kick back. Come back around dinner time and enjoy.
Prep time: 20 Minutes
Cook time: 6 hours
Temp setting on Medium
Ingredients
- Some cheap beef (bottom round in this recipe)
- Carrots
- Celery
- Okra
- Mushrooms
- Potatoes
- Corn (Frozen in this meal)
- Lima beans (Frozen in this meal)
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- Fresh pepper
I cut some beef off this chunk and put into crock.

Cut some carrots, mushrooms and onion and put in crock.

Some celery.

Add enough water to cover vegetables. OK if meat sticks out a little. Add your bouillon cubes and some pepper. Cover and your done for now.

Around 5 hours later take meat out and chop up to your liking.

I added frozen vegetables and potatoes in the final hour. Potatoes will get mushy if you cook them all day.

If you want to thicken the stew up a little then sprinkle in some flour.

Serve with Corn Bread. I like the Jiffy brand.

Crock pot cooking is pretty easy and just add what you want. The slow cooking brings out the flavors.
